Renewing My Money About Money

To renew means to resume (an activity) after an interruption.
Sometimes we all need an attitude adjustment.
I'm not afraid to say I needed one after experiencing a few interruptions. I've had quite a few life events that helped shape my mindset about money and by extension what I thought about myself.
Mindsets are shaped by a belief system which are driven by thoughts and ideas formed from the success or trauma of a significant life event.
it takes work and time to heal and renew any mindset.
Here are a few of the beliefs about money I'm intent on dismantling daily:
Scarcity of time: What matters most is what I do with the rest of the time that's been given to me. I change my mind to believe that I've got more time. That way I don't waste time lamenting about the past. I keep pressing on and moving forward.
Scarcity of money: I keep looking for opportunities. If I believe there is lack and there aren't any new opportunities. I'll do nothing and quit digging. This could lead to somewhat of a paralysis where I look more at the problem than focusing on the solution. I change my mind to believe there's more out there.
False humility: Part of the reason why I may decide (at times) to not look for new opportunities, is that I may downplay what I am good at. I am still learning to develop the confidence to state what I am worth. It all comes to down to a false belief about money that if I have more money, it'll change me, but that's not true. I change my mind to believe I am worthy of new opportunities.
Pride: I don't need the money, I sometimes try convince myself. Just to remain peaceful, (I won't mention that word) and polite, I downplay my need for it. I've got goals to achieve and I can't be acting like it won't be necessary to place me in a favourable position. Money is like oxygen. If I don't have it, I'll suffocate. I change my mind to believe the more money I have access to, the more I could accomplish.
A couple of days ago I discovered I had been carrying the last two with me.
I'd say better late than never. At least I know what further work must be done to guarantee my progress.
It is a process.
